Urban Element welcomes new additions to the SEO & design teams

It’s been a day of re-arranging the desks here at Urban Element, as we have welcomed two additions to the team. Niki Forecast has permanently swelled the design team’s ranks, and joining the online marketing brigade is Charlie Williams.

After working at Urban Element during the summer of 2011 as an intern, Niki then continued to work with us on a part time role whilst completing her final year at Oxford Brookes. Glitter and Gutter-balls: The UE Team Day 2011

Web Design Team DayIt’s been a pretty manic week for everyone here at UE as we all recover from the annual team building day.

The day started with ‘a hearty’ McDonalds breakfast and a presentation from our MD Jon, in which he reviewed the last year and his ideas for the future. UE has made some really positive progress over the last year and gained some fantastic new staff, but there is still a lot more that we want to achieve and there are some exciting plans for the coming year- so stay tuned for more announcements soon!

Following this, the whole team split into groups to come up with their ideas for UE’s company vision. Armed with coloured pens, glitter glue and even feathers we all set about putting down our ideas to feedback to the rest of the team. Some common themes were soon identified: innovation and new technology, forming good relationships with our customers and education for the team and wider community.

With the more serious stuff out of the way, we then headed into Oxford for a spot of bowling. Some of the team (mainly the boys) quickly became very completive and much banter could be heard across the lanes. Overall Jon, Mal and Andrew came out tops, however Jon lost the final head to head and a bottle of wine, to our summer intern Niki Forecast, much to his dismay.

Having worked up an appetite we headed into the centre of Oxford where our food was waiting for us. We then spent the rest of the day enjoying some much deserved time together outside of the office.
